JCPLAS makes bale net wrap. We have done it for years, and we do it well.
Our net wrap keeps round and square bales tight. It keeps hay dry. It keeps straw clean. It protects your feed from weather, dust and handling damage.
We are a manufacturer, not a middleman. The roll you get from us is made in our own plant in Ruian, Zhejiang, China. That means factory-direct price, consistent quality, and a supplier you can actually talk to.
This page explains everything you need to know about bale net wrap: what it is, what it is made of, what sizes we offer, and how to pick the right roll for your baler.
Bale net wrap is a net-like material made from HDPE, the same plastic family used in high-strength packaging films. It is wrapped around hay, straw, silage and corn stalk bales to hold them together.
Think of it as a strong, flexible web that locks the outer layer of the bale in place. One pass around the bale covers a wide surface. The bale keeps its shape during transport, stacking and long-term storage.
Most farmers use it with round balers. It also works on many square baler setups. You load the roll onto the baler, the machine wraps the bale automatically, and you cut the net when the wrap is complete.
Compared with traditional twine, net wrap protects the whole bale surface, not just a few lines around the middle.
Both methods work. But they work differently, and the difference shows up in your bale quality.
Twine wraps around the bale a few times. It holds the bale together, but it leaves most of the bale surface exposed. Rain gets in. Sun bleaches the outer layer. Leaf loss happens when you move the bale.
Bale net wrap covers the entire outer surface of the bale. Here is what that does in practice:
More surface protection. Water runs off instead of soaking in.
Less leaf loss. Your bales keep more feed value during handling.
Faster wrapping. One or two wraps with net usually replaces several twine wraps.
Better bale shape. The bale stays firm and round, easier to stack and ship.
Many farmers switch to net wrap and never go back to twine. If you are testing it for the first time, start with one baler season and compare your bales side by side.
We use 100% virgin HDPE resin. No recycled material, no filler, no shortcuts.
Why does virgin material matter? Because recycled HDPE is weaker. It tears easier, it breaks in cold weather, and it can have uneven thickness. Virgin HDPE gives you consistent strength from one roll to the next.
Our bale net wrap is made with:
100% virgin HDPE raw material.
High tensile strength for reliable wrapping.
Anti-tear structure that survives handling and transport.
UV stabilisation added in the production process.
UV stabilisation is important if your bales sit outside. The sun breaks down unprotected plastic over time. We add custom UV packages for different sunlight regions, so a farmer in sunny Texas and a farmer in cloudy northern Europe get the right formulation for their climate.
We make bale net wrap in a range of common agricultural sizes. The right choice depends on your baler model and your bale diameter.
Please confirm the exact numbers with our sales team before ordering, because we want to match your machine, not sell you a generic roll. Our standard line covers:
| Material | 100% Virgin HDPE |
|---|---|
| Available Width | 48in / 51in / 64in / 67in |
| Roll Length | 7000ft - 9840ft |
| Tensile Strength | High (heavy bales up to 1200kg) |
| UV Protection | Standard / Region-specific formula |
| Core Diameter | 76mm |
Do not worry if you are not sure about your numbers. Send us your baler brand and model, and we will recommend the right width and roll length for your bale size.
Bale net wrap starts as HDPE resin pellets. The pellets are melted, extruded into flat strands, and formed into a net pattern while the material is still hot. Then the net is stretched in both directions. This stretching aligns the molecules and gives the net its strength.
After stretching, the net is wound onto rolls. Each roll is checked for uniform width, even mesh, and consistent weight before it leaves the production line.
At JCPLAS, quality control does not stop at the machine. We test samples for tensile strength and UV performance. We check roll weight so you get what you pay for. We also keep production records, so every batch can be traced back to its raw material lot.
This is the part that most buyers never see. But it is the part that decides whether a roll lasts through the season or snaps in the middle of wrapping.
There are many sellers of bale net wrap. There are fewer manufacturers. We are one of the few.
Factory direct. No trading company in the middle. You get the factory price and direct communication with the production team.
CE certified. Our bale net wrap line carries CE certification for the European market.
Exported to 50+ countries. Our rolls are already on farms across Europe, the Americas, Africa, the Middle East and Asia.
Compatible with all round baler brands. Our net wrap works with most major baler models on the market.
Custom UV packages. We adjust the formulation for your local sunlight and storage conditions.
Stable supply. As a manufacturer with our own production, we can hold stock and deliver on schedule, even in peak season.
If you are importing for your own farm or distributing for a whole region, you want a supplier who answers questions, keeps promises, and ships on time. That is how we run this business.

Three things decide the right roll: width, roll length, and material strength.
Width. The roll must be wider than the bale. If the net is too narrow, the bale edges stay exposed and the wrap is weaker. Most round balers use a roll width matched to the baler's wrap width. Tell us your baler model and we will tell you the width you need.
Roll length. Longer rolls mean fewer changeovers in the field. A longer roll also means a heavier roll to lift. Choose based on how much you wrap per day and how strong you are at 6 a.m. in the field.
Strength. Heavy bales, sharp stubble and rough handling all demand a stronger net. If you wrap corn stalk or silage, go up in weight. If you are unsure, order a sample roll first and test it on your own machine.
We can supply a sample roll before you commit to a full container. That is the safest way to test compatibility with your baler.
Store rolls in a dry, shaded place. Keep them off the concrete floor if possible, or on a pallet.
UV light is the enemy of net wrap before it is used. If the roll sits in direct sunlight for months, the outer layers can become brittle. A roll that stays indoors in a barn will last much longer than a roll left in an open yard.
Also, keep rolls away from sharp objects and rodents. A damaged outer layer can snag during wrapping and waste a whole roll.
One practical tip: use the oldest roll first. Rotate your stock so no roll sits for too long.
It depends on roll length, bale size, and how many wraps you apply per bale. A longer roll with a normal two-wrap setting covers more bales. Check the roll length and your baler's wrap setting, and you can calculate it quickly. Our sales team can also give you an estimate for your exact setup.
HDPE is recyclable. After use, the net can be collected and processed through HDPE recycling channels. Many farms collect used net wrap separately from general waste. Check with your local recycling program for the accepted collection method.
Yes, in many setups. Net wrap is most common on round bales, but it can also secure square and rectangular bales depending on your baler. Tell us your machine and we will confirm compatibility.
No, not when used correctly. Net wrap is removed before feeding, just like twine. Cattle, sheep and horses are not fed the net. Always remove the wrap completely before feeding or grinding the bale.
With proper UV stabilisation and outdoor storage, bales can stay wrapped for many months. The net keeps its strength and the bale keeps its quality. For storage beyond one season, keep the bales off the ground and in a well-drained area.
Yes. We can print your brand, logo and contact information on the net wrap rolls. Custom color is also available. This is useful for distributors who want to build their own brand.
Our standard MOQ is 1 roll for testing. For container orders, our sales team will confirm the best shipping arrangement for your destination port.
Stop guessing which supplier to trust. Talk to a manufacturer who picks up the phone and answers.
Send us your baler model, your bale size, and your estimated monthly quantity. We will reply within 24 hours with a clear quote, a recommended spec, and the shipping cost to your port.
